Material Characterization Day at RAMCON

Invitation: RAMCON Material Characterization Day
We are delighted to invite you to our open house event focusing on material characterization.

Date & time: Friday November 11th 2022 from 9.00 to 13.00 
Location: RAMCON Head Office - Blokken 76, 3460 Birkerød.

For this event we will have a selection of instruments on display, specifically for material characterization in different research areas. We are looking forward to meeting you and discuss our common field of interest.

The following instruments will be on display for live demonstration:

• Nikon Stereomicroscopes
• Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) with Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS) – Benchtop SEM for images and elemental analysis results in minutes
• X-ray Diffraction instrument (XRD) – Benchtop XRD for phase analysis of poly-crystalline materials
• Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence instrument (ED-XRF) + X-press for pellet press – For elemental analysis of solids, liquids, alloys and thin film
• Laser Diffraction Particle Size Analyzer (LS) – For both liquid and dry samples
• MixerMill – For sample preparation; high-energy ball mill that grinds up to 10 grams of sample in each clamp

Furthermore, there will be in-depth videos on dynamic vapor sorption which describes the effects of humidity and temperature on the chemical, physical & mechanical stability of a sample.
