DiaLab sustainable packaging project

The industry association DiaLab together with four member companies, which are already suppliers to the University of Copenhagen, have joined forces with the University of Copenhagen and Re-Zip in a pilot project.

Disposable packaging is an environmental and climate related issue - partly because we use nature's resources for packaging that is only used once, and partly because it generates a large amount of waste, which is burned off and emits CO2.

Therefore, the industry association DiaLab together with four member companies, which are already suppliers to the University of Copenhagen, have joined forces with the University of Copenhagen and Re-Zip in a pilot project where disposable cardboard boxes are replaced by Re-Zip reusable packaging. The pilot project initially focuses on small cardboard boxes, ie. goods which are shipped in small quantities such as samples.

The four suppliers are Frisenette, In Vitro, RAMCON and AH diagnostics. It will be possible for several suppliers to join the pilot along the way, by mutual agreement with KU.
